Dualism: there is an existence of both good and evil. Othering: thinking of a group that is different from you in a negative way; we are good, different is bad. Labeling them evil justifies actions towards the evil to eliminate or destroy it/them. When that evil is seen as a group of people rather than a figure like satan, it has led to great wars and brutal losses of human life. A movement which began in europe during the 16th century. Central and western europe are for the large most part roman catholic. It was expected that you were roman catholic in this time, in this area. A group of people protested the roman catholic religion. This ended in a new religion being created; protestantism. Pope acts as the ceo, the ruler vs rejecting of that idea, one can pray to god himself. One interpretation of what bible says vs individuals can interpret their own ideas from bible.
