Learning styles: all learners have unique preference for receiving & processing information, literal (reading writing etc) vs graphical learner (graphing, diagrams etc, should incorporate instructional strategies for all types of learners. Learning profiles: global learners, learning facilitated when big picture presented prior to details, prefer humour, anecdotes & graphics, analytic learners, prefer info presented in step by step sequential manner enrolee to main concept, prefer rules, guidelines & procedures. Post midterm content: ie: sheldon from big bang theory (tbh also u you are a black & white type of person) Cue words & teaching strategies for each perceptual mode: children are best able to watch to learn & do well (they may not understand the teaching from a white board) Table 6. 1 - examples of cue words & strategies to target each perceptual mode. Sample cue words see/look feel/touch analyze/think hear/listen watch/observe sense/move examine/compare detect/tempo. Sample teaching demonstrations simulations principles clapping strategies pictures/video guidance/trial & error testing/ investigating music/sound.
