Most people don"t know what culture involves. There are little other things involved like role, rituals, roles, values, courtesies, thoughts and customs. Culture is very important because we a such a global community. Same political authority and dominant cultural expectations. People say advertising is created based on the culture its placed. Culture consists of: body of learned behaviors, common to a given human society, acts like a template, mental processes, beliefs and values, knowledge, customs, language. As sociologists, they pay more attention to human behavior of various aspects of culture. Culture is passed from person to person and generation to next. Learned phenomenon: we learn things from media, generations, one picks it up to fit into the norms of a particular group, one learns as they go along in life. We are a combination of nature (biology) and nurture (the social environment) Advertising and the end of the world (watch video)
