Culture is a foundational topic to understand: one of the ways to think of difference between sociology and anthropology (cousins) is that for the most part anthropolgists interested in difference in historical societies. Dual culture: multiple languages, melting pot/ mosaic. 4: compassion and generosity, attachment to canada"s natural beauty, canada"s world image. The canadian multiculturisms act affirms the policy of the government to ensure that every candian recieves equal treatment by the government which respects and celebrates diversity. Recognizes canada"s multicultural heritage and that this heritage must be protected. Culture refers to the knowledge, language, values, customs, and material objects that are passed from person to person from one generation to the next, in a human group/society. Society is made up of people, but a culture is made up of ideas, behaviors, and amterial possessions.
