Sensory capability had been nulled as she had not been exposed to a variety of physical experiences. Since she had not been exposed to any developmental experiences by the age of 13, it was next to impossible for her to develop proper reactions to different/some stimulus. She could not learn language or proper social interactions, although she was taught some throughout her rehabilitation: researches being to believe there is a certain developmental or learning age in which the child learns and develops the most.
