It is not a left-winged influenced thing, it is a fact that. Race is a word given by society and exists in certain historical times. Lessons from the one-drop rule: even if one drop of your blood was not white, then you are not white. To be white you had to be purely white. They did this to keep the white races pure. Not all differences given by nature (genetics) should be used to separate people into races. Historically, skin colour has been the natural thing that is most focused on and that distinguishes races and differences between races. Social construction is the source of ideas and arrangements that are not given by nature. Social construction is not part of nature but does work with natural materials. Real" natural evidence yet is determined by society and not nature. Ideas that are the result of social construction are called invented. Race is invented which does not mean it is real.
