Document Summary
Epidemiology and demography in health research/epidemiological research designs. Demography: study of human populations, including their size, composition, distribution and growth as well as the causes and socioeconomic consequences of changes in these factors, study of patterns in human populations, birth rates, death rates, immigration, emigration, etc. Anything related to the patterns of human populations. Epidemiology: subfields/levels: classified on level upon which the research focuses on. Each of the subfields takes an important role in health research. All studies can be classified as experimental or natural; very broad. Usually a population of interest in queried in terms of different possible exposures and outcomes at one period in time. Can not clearly determine exposure and outcome temporal association can not be determined. Descriptive studies gives idea of hypotheses, but we still are not able to test the hypothesis and require a study that evaluates it.
