Qualitaive (interviews, focus groups, ethnography (ield research, case study), historical research (traveling somewhere to analyse historical set of documents) Theory is a set of proposiions that are logically interrelated. Theory and method are related but can be arranged diferently. Marx, weber, durkheim are imeless because they are developing ideas that explain how society works. They were working at the most abstract levels of thinking.
