When defining the term environment we must consider: Environmental policies and practices need to be defined by various organizations. Fisheries act had many restrictions against what you can and can"t do to fish habitats however with the implementation of bill c-38, many of the restrictions have been lifted and fisheries are being destroyed. The bill only prevents destruction but has no restrictions against disruption or alteration. Environmental science explores interactions between humans and the physical and biological world: Encompasses the biogeochemical-physical system in which people and other organisms exist. Dynamic interrelationships among organisms (including people) and their surroundings (physical, chemical, biological, geological, social/cultural) Understanding made up of a sum of disciplines like biology, ethics, chemistry, geology, oceanography, history, political science, etc. A systematic process for learning about the world and testing the understanding of it. The accumulated body of knowledge that arises from this dynamic process. Testing ideas through observation, questioning and experimentation.
