This causes the latent gene inhibitory protein ci forming tight interactions with the microtubule thru the interaction of scaffold protein called costal . In this complex, cause recruitment of other kinases, pka, gsk3, ck1, these phosphorylate ci. Ci also binds to a kinase called fused . This phosphorylation is the signal for ci to be proteolytically cleaved. This cleaved fragment can then migrate to the nucleus and interact with transcription regulators to repress gene expression- transcription co-repressors: with hedgehog signal vesicles and it is degraded.
