Document Summary

A light wave length is translated into an action potential. What protects the lens are all the tunics (different layers) The sclera that is most important is the cornea (covers the important anterior parts of the eye) The retina is where the processing of the light wave energy occurs. The iris is just before the lens it functions very much like part of a camera that lets the light in (aperture) You want your pupils to be dilated the most when there isn"t enough light (in the dark: opposite in the light. The ciliary body are part of the tissue support of the lens and behind the lens. The choroid is the nutrient support via blood vessels to different parts of the eye. The aqueous humor provides nutrient support: this fluid circulation is important for the health of the tissue. Second slide is the frontal section of the eye.
