Document Summary

What is a plant: plantae refers to the monophyletic group that includes red algae, green algae, land plants, and glaucophyte algae. They are a green algae and unicellular from fresh water or open waters. Shared a common ancestor and shared the same photosynthetic traits: all of these lineages are descended from a common ancestor that engulfed a cyanobacterium, beginning the endosymbiosis that led to the evolution of the chloroplast. Terrestrial organism on land plants were before long before that. Divergent times show that they diverged 700 million years ago. How could these planst exist if earth was a snowball earth that many years ago. Maybe at that ti(cid:373)e that"s will this s(cid:374)owball earth started to break down. This had something to do with the changes of atomophesiic gasses, (cos, 02, vocanism(out gassing of perecipitate)) Plants are repsonisble for the carbon and nitrogen cycle, if you manipulate that they could play a role with the changes of the gasses.
