Lack of cjs to keep the information on racialized communities; but we see it in the increase of incarceration rates. Negative effects: diminished self-esteem, perceived discrimination, and internalized stigma increased fear, a sense of intimidation, reinforced anxieties, and enhanced feelings of helplessness and hopelessness, suicidal thinking, depression and drug use.
