Lead to the mental hygiene movement: (three implications: need for experts, so people to make decisions as to who is feebleminded and not, need for institutions, for people who are deemed morons or feebleminded. Mainly concerned children: need for sterilization, to stop the gene from spreading. (sterilization act in bc and alberta). Eugenics is the manipulation of the processes of evolutionary selection in order to improve a particular genetic stock or population. In 1927 there was the buck v bell case which upheld the use of sterilization. Helping families that have them to deal with them. They didn"t want these people to recreate because they thought they d be bad parents.
