Has saved more lives than any other technology, used to not get sick. Will never get infected with that virus again, body built up immunity to that material. Very young: susceptible, immunity is not built up. Acne, skin infections can lead to scarring later in life. Colds can as well: just can"t see it (throat, lungs, etc. ) Getting sick and building up immunity is not always good, though. Fool the body into thinking the body had been infected with something. 5/10/20 years down the road: will not get sick if you come into contact with what you"ve been vaccinated against. Innate immune system: generates a very quick response. Non-specific reaction: exposed to anything, will respond in same way. Cough, runny nose: non-specific way to get rid of materials that are not a part of you. Increases blood flow to region of infection, allow wbcs to move easier (expand gaps between cells)
