Current behaviour is a consequence of reinforcing past behaviour. Hard determinsims - we are programmed to think a certain way due to our culture - you are being acted upon. Soft determinism - some choice, now you can be held accountable for ur behaviour. You may be predisposed to succeed academically, but u need the tools to succeed. Impact peoples identity and socialization (any institution in society) Dont always understand the social meaning behind the actions. Behaviour that is rewarded is behaviour that is repeated. Pretend play where the child engages in role-taking. Take on roles and appreciate roles/how it relates to others in the group. Take on skills that are transferable to other environments. How you imagine you appear to others. How you imagine we are judged by others.
