Resource rich countries are getting worse health as their gdp increases. Africa is probably the most disputed in terms of health outcomes. China has had most growth in outcomes, expectancy, etc and. Traditional medicine: western bias - > approaches to health illness, and wellness that are culture specific that predates modern, western medicine models. Has shown significant benefit to ssri"s for treating mild to moderate depression. Medical industrial complex sees these as huge potential markets. St john"s wort has shown evidence of benefit.
