Monsanto is a company that produces toxic chemical products before, but the company changes to create gmos now. Roundup ready soybeans herbicide is effective to root out weeds, and plants would not get hurt. There are two principles in the power point illustrating: Case study of bt cotton in india: there are no extra regulations for gmos, because creating regulations will cost lots of time and money, the gmos plants are the same as traditional plants. 1: bt cotton could repel ballworms, cotton parasite, monsanto provides seeds of bt cotton; however, the price is four times as regular seeds. Thus, not every farmer could afford the payment: the disadvantage bt cotton is large demand of fertilizer, which means farmers need to pay much money. If there is no harvest in bt cotton, it might cause suicide. The video shows that poverty increased in india because of drought, and the land in india has been divided by families.
