Sub adult (birth to 18) remains are not as common as adult due to less mineralization. Demography: age at death, sex, population affiliation. Burial patterns: how they are buried, when people are buried, who is buried where. Social organization: access to food, health and caretaking, burial patterns and social status. Some of the biggest problems we currently face is not new: learn from past experience, learn how these events shape modern biology. Acting in a way that is right: morally right, culturally sensitive, right according to a set of guidelines within discipline. Mortuary rituals date back as early as 300,000 years ago. Belief in afterlife, soul persists after death: egyptian book of the dead. Body is necessary for travel into the afterlife. The body must be recognizable and must be provided with the accoutrements for travel: basis of egyptians practice with mummies. Body is related to soul: if body is disturbed spirit is disturbed.
