We all have a normal flora in our body"s. They keep away pathogenic microbes and supply nutrients. Man with the stomach yeast infection became drunk every time he ate food. He was charged with impaired driving until they did further investigations. Yeast is a eukaryotic cell which makes it hard to find antibiotics for. In 1668 they were wondering if life spontaneously came about through microorganisms. Redi"s experiment showed maggots growing in an open jar and not in a closed jar. Pasteur used a spout necked bottle and the liquid stayed clear of microbes even though there was airflow. Before treatment was found everyone would get infected. We are all being infected constantly but our body"s can fight off some of the germs. The healthier you are the better your immune system can function. The body"s defense contains specific and non-specific defense systems. We are overloaded with information from the internet which anyone can add to.
