Tells you what to ignore and what is safe through first 5 years of language learning. They are types of habits when things are repeated enough they become habits . Learn rituals, practices that are unique to the culture habits are acquired. Human creations = meanings encoded in them. Morals lie deeper, customs are on the surface easy to attain. Our personal philosophy of life and the universe that determines how we define reality and how we act - suderman. Hidden from view until people act a certain way where the worldview becomes apparent. The rituals that happen make the worldview explicit. Explicit visible, touch, taste, smell ritual tacit invisible, implied, interpreted, not obvious.
