States, the company has many products and services such as auto parts,
maintenance, warranty, collision and vehicle financing. One of the most reliable
resources for Sonic Automotive is the use the iPad and iPhone. The company has
created multiple custom applications that support their services to help speed up
their productivity and sales. Each application supports all the need required for a
specific department. The Virtual Lot helps sales associates search and successfully
aage to sell the opays ietoy and services, the Sonic Inventory
Management System (SIMS) helps speed up the inventory coming in for the
corporate headquarters to appraise the data. The Service Pad helps simplify
repair and warranty work for both customers and staff.
SKF is another global engineering company that uses over 30 iPhone and
iPad applications to support majority of their services to increase productivity.
Their sensor driven Virtual Reality appliatio uses the oiles aea to
identify a factory machine and verify the SKF parts it may contain by producing a
3-D overlay and continues to complete the job by creating an automatic report.
The MOST app provides operators with key piece of data which can link to the
back-end systems running the machinery, they can also instantly communicate
with managers and track products in real time as they move through the factory
line. The Shelf mobile app is created for sales engineers, associates and customer
