This assignment has indeed helped me discover how i became who i am today. In all honesty, i had to ask my parents about our immigration into canada and the obstacles we had to face. I was so surprised as to how koreans became so relaxed within their personality traits. Twenty years ago, korean children received harsh punishments for anything that they did to offend or embarrass their parents. Furthermore, manners were taught through discipline and spanking was the only way to get the children to stay calm or gentle. However, i was so surprised when i found out a couple of years ago that korean parents were starting to spoil their children a lot more. Children were lacking in manners and they grew up without proper education or they joined the wrong group.
