It was the early afternoon of october 3rd, 1962, when my life got turned upside down. As an elementary school teacher in salem, massachusetts, i had a great relationship with all of my students and was praised by parents for my teaching style. I was a teacher for almost nine years and had taught many students with different backgrounds, but that day i was faced with something that i never imagined in my wildest dreams. It was about two months that i noticed two of my favorite students were acting strangely. They would talk very loudly, ignore my questions, talk about unrealistic things, and leave class without my permission. I reported their behaviors to their parents and shockingly the parents of both students blamed me. They were too aware of their children"s hallucinations and strange behavior, but blamed me because they said their behavior started in the beginning of the school year and not noticed these behaviors ever before.
