The temporal lobes neuropsychological tests the wisconsin card sorting test: Individual has a deck of cards and has 4 categories they have to allocate the cards to. Given feedback as to whether a card is placed in the correct bin or not. Ex: categories can be about the shape on the card, color, etc. The categories are then changed, and individual has to adapt to what the new categories are. Individuals with frontal lobe damage: unable to assess what a new rule is and therefore take longer on a task the stroop test: Either have to read the word (which is a color) or the color of the ink of the word itself. With fl damage: decreased scores on this task because they are not able to quickly process this information thurstone word fluency test. Write words beginning with s" for 5 mins. Write words beginning with c" for 4 mins.
