Articulations: assume specific forms, exist in multiple contexts (socially, culturally etc) Technology is more than machinery, reflects socio-cultural environment. Piece of equipment that records everything you see - replay whenever you like. Similar to social media platforms - documenting our daily lives. Technology has a life of its own - drives social phenomena. Technology is a relationship, not a collection of neutral instruments. Modern condition is reflective of modern technology. Technology has to be put to good ends. Tech offers possibilities, society chooses course of action/how to use them. Theory within field of science and tech. Technology must find support in social environment to succeed. Technologies become underdeveloped, society grows out of them. Rhetorical closure: if problem is solved, alternative designs are no longer necessary. Redefinition of the problem: creating new problems to solve.
