Savant syndrome handicapped in overall intelligence yet demonstrates exceptional ability in very specific areas. Spearman"s model: two types of intelligence: g" for general intelligence and s" for specific ability, proposes that both intelligence are required to perform tasks. S" is what makes some people smarter than the others.
