Panic pts may have panic attacks and don"t know why they are just too overwhelmed with anxiety. Clients feel like they are having a heart attack (a common sign) When admitted, must attend to cardiac issues first before mental health issues. Agoraphobia: excessive anxiety or fear about being in places or situations from which escape might be difficult or embarrassing: ex. With cars, the person is nervous because there are many cars around him/her with people inside them. Persons addicted to plastic surgery (i. e. , human barbie, reptile man), picking of hair/skin etc: this disorder can lead to anorexia/bulimia. Must occur for at least 6 months: adults: 2 admissions, children: 3 admissions. Someone can be consistently worried, but it only becomes gad when it starts to affect the persons daily activities/life.
