tracking anger/stress levels, identify early warnings!
"use coping self-talk: “calm down, take it easy, count to 10” can give you time and
space during an interaction to get your feelings under control, ‘keep calm and remember
to stay focused, using self-talk is preventing me from becoming aggressive’ before a
dicult interaction !
"use visualising skills: visualise or consciously change the images in your mind,
before entering an intense situation vials how you will manage it, imagine yourself
handling the situation competently, relax through visualising the stress and tension
leaving your body
be realistic about rules and goals: realistically predict consequences of your
actions and of others actions, be accepting of your goals and expectations!
