Document Summary

Expansion: taking your thoughts and viewing them in a new way. Being able to pick apart negative thoughts they lose their ability to frighten, disturb, worry, stress, or depress you: instead of trying to force negative feelings away, you should make space for them in your life. By not overly trying to suppress negative emotion and accepting their place in your mind, they are much more likely to move on faster than by using a controlling technique. Connection: connect with the present moment instead of focusing on what past memories might be troubling you. By keeping your mind centered on what you are feeling, seeing, hearing, etc. in that exact moment the negative feelings are more likely to pass. The observing self: largely ignored by western cultures, the observing self would be as if you had an out of body experience and were floating above yourself watching what is taking place.
