Perceiving depth and size = depth and size go hand in hand. Stereoscopic (because its coming from both eyes) depth perception. Images fall lon retina on = corresponding points = when both eyes perceive the same depth. Stereopsis: depth information provided by binocular disparity. Random -dot stereogram has two identical patterns with one shifted in position. We don"t really know why we perceive 3d, we"re trying to figure out physiology to perception. If you take away depth cues, people have trouble estimating size. Infants develop 3, 5, 7 months to develop. Auditory space and auditory scene are interchangeable. Auditory stream segregation = compound melodic lines (pic of blue and pink notes) Your brain segregates sounds in a very simplistic way. Wessel illusion= differencoces in timbre (fast vs slow differences)
