Hierarchy of needs theory- you move up the pyramid as you successfully complete a lower need. Theory x and theory y- either employees dislike lots of things, or employees like lots of things. Two factor theory- relates intrinsic factors to job satisfaction and associates extrinsic factors with dissatisfaction. Organizational justice is a refinement of equity theory because it is an overall perception of what is fair in the workplace, and equity theory is the outputs from what inputs were put into it. Four theories of motivation are individual effort, individual performance, organizational rewards, and personal goals. They compare to one another because there is steps that can be taken to associate all of the theories together. Steps or actions that push these theories together consist of opportunity, ability, reinforcement, dominant needs, goals direct behavior, high nach, job design and equity comparison. Employee involvement programs are a participative process that uses employees" input to increase their commitment to the organization"s success.
