How you will organize main points and supporting details in the body. What you will say in the conclusion. Should be separate and before the outline. Include specific purpose statement to assess how you have constructed speech to accomplish purpose. Central idea follows purpose statement or is identified in outline. Label where your introduction begins, where the body begins, and where to conclusion begins. Place the labels in the middle of the page or in far left margin. Use consistent pattern of symbolization and indentation. You can have a point, a sub-point, and a sub-sub-point. Clear visual framework of an outline immediately shows relationship among ideas of the speech. Main points are farthest to the left. Main point will be an idea that encompasses the sub-points. State main points and subpoints in full sentence.
