with the belief of negative team members being active in most groups. Expecting it gets you
prepared to deal with the situation more effectively. One way to eliminate negative comments
during the discussion is to show everyone involved the agenda in advance, that way the team can
make its first decisions on topics discussed before the conversation even starts. As the leader of
the group, once individuals start compiling negative communication with others, leadership
needs to step in to try and defuse the problem or simply remove the problem.
