Society- a system of social interaction that includes both culture and social organization. Members of a society tend to have common culture. Social interaction- behavior between two or more people that is given meaning by them. Macroanalysis- a sociological approach that takes the broadcast view of society by studying large patterns of social interaction that are vast, complex, and highly differentiated. Microanalysis- study patterns of social interactions that are relatively small, less complex, and less differentiated. Social organization- describes the order established in social groups at any level. Social institution- an established and organized system of social behavior with a recognized purpose. Major institutions include family, education, work, economy, political institution, religion, and health care. Conflict theorists suggest that there is conflict in societies and members are not considered equal. Social structure- the organized pattern of social relationships and social institutions that together compose society.
