We should instead have commercial relations only with foreign countries and as little political ties as possible. Because we are geographically separated from europe we do not need to be involved in their constant conflicts and can stay removed from the situation. American should only use temporary alliances for extraordinary emergencies to help us maintain a good defensive position.
