Construct an aid that appears carefully and professionally done. Carry back up supplies in case of equipment failure. Properly position the aid before beginning the speech. Reveal the aid only when ready to use it. Talk to the audience, not the aid. Keep the aid in view until the audience understands the point it makes. Conceal the aid after making your point with it.
