Social psychology: the scientific study of the way in which people"s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are influenced by the real or imagined presence of other people. Social influence: the effect that words, actions, or the mere presence of other people have on our thoughts, feelings, attitudes or behaviors. Social psychology, philosophy, science and common sense: philosophers work is part of the foundation of contemporary psychology. Social psychologists address many of the same questions that philosophers do, but attempt to address these questions scientifically. Social psychology experiments present many challenges primarily because we are attempting to: related to other disciplines such as sociology, economics, and political science; all examine the influence of social factors on human behavior; differ in level of analysis. Social psychologists level of analysis is the individual in the context of a social situation; Social psychologists focus on psychological prosses that trigger aggression/ (w/e quality)
