Gender: perception of being male or female behavior for men and women. Androgynous: high on masculinity and femininity, can adopt both gender roles at once. Gender aschematic: doesn"t view world in male female boundaries. Gender roles: set of expectations, defined by a particular society, that indicate appropriate. Men are often seen as adventurous, forceful, and independent. Women are seen as sentimental, submissive, and superstitions. Sexism: negative attitudes/behavior towards a person that are based on that person"s. Glass ceiling: term used to describe barriers within an organization that prevent. Women earn less than men in comparable jobs, and often take pink-collar jobs with women from being promoted beyond a certain level gender low pay such as secretary, cashier, nurse. Sexual harassment: unwanted sexual attention, the creation of a hostile or abusive environment, or explicit coercion to engage in unwanted sexual activity. Benevolent sexism: attitudes relating to gender that appear to be beneficial to women, but are harmful in reality.
