When the verb of a main clause expresses emotions, use the subjunctive form of the verb in the dependent clause. The subjects of the two clauses must be different. We are very sorry (that) the child has a fever. I am glad (that) you are with him. Impersonal expressions and other expressions that show emotions are also followed by que + subjunctive.
