(the children are tired) Some adjectives have one meaning with ser and another meaning with estar. Ese se or es malo. (the man is bad/evil) Ese se or est malo. (the man is ill) La chica es lista. (the girl is smart/clever) La chica est lista. (the girl is ready) La manzana es verde. (the apple is green) La manzana est verde. (the apple is no tripe)
