Electryon married his niece, they had a daughter alcmena. Sthenelus (brother of electryon) had a son eurystheus. Alcaeus( brother of electryon) had a son amphitryon. Electryon(king of mycenae) was attacked by pirates and all but one of his sons were killed. He planned to go take revenge but his newphew amphityon killed him and took. They went to thebes, where king creon purified him of his blood pollution. It is custom to go to neighboring kingdom to be purified of blood pollution. However, she refused to sleep with him until her brothers were avenged. Amphitryon went out with king creon to find and kill the pirates. Amphitryon was successful in his mission and he was eager to come back to his wife. Zeus lusted for alcmene and he came to her pretending to be amphitryon coming back from his mission. After he spent time with her in bed, he left.
