Outlining principles: outlining is a systematic method of organizing your ideas. This approach ensures that your argument is clean and that your info is in an appropriate place w/i speech. There are 3 keys tenets to outlining: subordination, coordination, and division: subordination. All outlines work to create what is essentially a hierarchy of ideas through use of symbols and indentations. This process of creating a hierarchy of ideas in which most general ideas appear 1st followed by more specific ideas is called subordination. 1st or broadest lvl is a main pt. 2nd, slightly more specific lvl is a subpoint. 3rd lvl is even more specific than 2nd lvl.
