Winters are cold, summers hot. (lots of rain; squirrels, rabbits, deer, bears) Woodlands-mixed shrub communiies with less rainfall than in temperate forests (winters are cool and wet, summers hot and dry; foxes, jackrabbits, coyotes, lizards, snakes)
