Roman catholic missionaries later still saw nestorians practicing. How the nestorian monks came to be, how chinese officials were appointed to listen to the religion, how the religion became to be approved of. Many emperors accepted christianity among the religions. Christianity is a way to civilize and enlighten. Olopun came from syria with the bible in 635: bible translated and placed in the imperial library, the ruler of the time was impressed with the religion and ordered it to be spread. 638: imperial proclamation emphasizing christianity and its spread. Syria is portrayed as this heavenly land.
