Rice grows well near yangzi river, boats were preferred means of transportation. The nomads from inner asia are china"s traditional enemies. At 10,000 b. c. e agriculture was practiced in china. Neolithic societies: no written records, shared more social and cultural practices( the use of coffins, grave goods etc), fortified walls. After 2000 b. c. e, bronzes age begins: writing, metalworking, domestication of the horse, class stratification and cult centers. Anyang: where the shang kings rule more than two centuries.
