It discusses the question of why corporations need to be great. Jasso (2012) examines this through the le(cid:374)se of aristotle"s (cid:862)ni(cid:272)o(cid:373)a(cid:272)hea(cid:374) ethi(cid:272)s,(cid:863) (cid:449)hi(cid:272)h he des(cid:272)ri(cid:271)es as (cid:862)the definitive work on the nature of excellence by way of the virtuous life of the great-souled man,(cid:863) (cid:894)p. (cid:1006)(cid:895). Through this analysis of greatness, jasso teaches us that truly great corporations achieve greatness because they strive to be excellent for the sole purpose of being excellent. This is in sharp contrast to corporations who seek greatness in order to simply achieve a goal, or to make money. As a result, he believes that this foundation must be built upon a foundation of solid ethics that do not change relative to differing opinions.
