Final is that which is always desirable within itself, and not for something else. (pg. 10) you want this thing not for a certain outcome, you just want it in itself. Function of man (pg 11) if your function is to play the lyre, your function is to play well. The good and the well" is thought to reside in the function, so would it seem to be for man, if he has a function. (pg 10) The rational principle of the soul is what leads us to the actual function of man.
