The ability to recognize objects is enormously important. In vision, our primary means of recognizing objects is through the perception of their form. We can essentially create the features for ourselves, filling in the missing sides perceptual parsing. School of thought that emphasized that organization is an essential feature of all mental activity [forming a cohesive whole] Gestalt psychologists described several aspects of this organization and identified several principles that guided it.
