Organization is key in making professional documents easy to understand and use. First, a writer must figure out what information the audience is supposed to learn. Then the writer must present this information in the most effective way possible. Introductory paragraph: the first chance to make a good impression on the reader. Helps a reader to decide whether to read more of the article, what sections of the article to focus on and what sections to skip. Exordium: introduces a particular audience to the topic of discussion and puts the audience into a receptive frame of mind to hear the speaker"s position. Narration: provides enough background information for the audience to understand the argument. Partition: divides the arguments into manageable parts and provides a road map for the speech.
